Cyclone Commits in Shrine Bowl...

I looked over the rosters and wondered how the North would be able to compete. Looks like they couldn't.

The score was 7-10 at the half so the North was keeping it competitive at first. The South squad started rolling in the second half and pretty much buried the North.

We got one HELL of an athlete in Charlie. Wow. North didn't have an answer for him at all.

I agree completely about Charlie. He played in the toughest football class in the state, and on just his pure athleticism alone.... he dominated. Then he plays in the Iowa All Star football game, and dominates again because he's just so much better than everyone else on the field athletically.

And in track, he wins at Drake and at State in the 400m hurdles. He's just VERY gifted. He will be a good one.

I'm still not counting out that he could end up at safety or even LB, depending on how big he might become? If he could put on 20 or 30 good lbs... he'd be a devastating LB.

He is one of the four I've heard our staff is projecting as a possible NFL player from this most recent draft class. Not to say all four will or others couldn't make it.

stood next to him, he's a little bit taller than 6'1 I'm 6'1 and he was a good 2 inches taller than me, then again he did have cleats on and whatnot, so who knows. Is kinda skinny, typical college freshman defensive back though

I was at the cedar falls vs ic west game and there was no doubt who the best player was on the field. It certainly was not Barkley hill it was Rogers without question, not even close.

I was also at that game, as I was for all of CF home games during regular season. Rogers was the best player in the game, he will be a great d-back for us, based on what I saw that game. He shut down James Harrington, the fastest track athlete the past 2 years, so the rest of the defense could shut down Barkley Hill.

Rhoads expects him to contribute this fall. Whether that be on special teams or somewhere else, he will be on the field as a true freshman for Iowa state. He's physically ready for this level.
