I've been splitting my donations between the two the past few years. I'm not really sure what I get from the Gridiron Club and was thinking of just directing everything to the CC. What do you all recommend?

We donate to both (but not equally) since the proceeds from the Gridiron Club go directly to the football program. Plus the donation is tax deductible since it's a 501c3.

Among other things, there is a Gridiron Club golf outing at Talons of Tuscany this afternoon, followed by a social hour and dinner with coaches and a viewing of Dennis Albaugh's car collection!

That's a nice perk.

I don't live in Iowa anymore so don't benefit from perks like this. I wonder if I'm better off just giving to CC.

Yes to be clear your membership donation gets you invited to buy tickets to the events throughout the year (they’re fundraisers). There are different giving levels with different levels of perks similar to Cyclone Club.

I really dont know why they dont make the Gridiron club more visible. I am a member, but you have to actually know about it, and look for it to find it.

I dont understand why it is not at least linked on the cyclone.com or cyclone club pages or there is something done to make it more visible at least.

Agree, NCC and CGC could both do a little more marketing to encourage new members. I recall back when I was in school at ISU, TA&M was being talked about for their push for new members. As I recall they were really successful at getting fans/alumni signed up at the $100 level and it added up to lots of $ all together.

The Cyclone Gridiron Club has a few events throughout the year. Biggest one is the Mike Lacey Memorial Golf Outing at Talons Golf in Ankeny. I can see if you no longer live in Iowa it may not have much of a benefit for you. I must note that the CGC has a 10 year $2.5m commitment to pay for the new Stark Performance Center, so it is vital that the CGC maintains it’s yearly members.

Why for the love of god dont they do more to promote the Gridiron Club then? There is not even a link for it on the Cyclone.com or Cyclone club. And no promotion, no facebook, nothing anywhere I ever see.

Did anyone ever get an email from Cyclone Club for your 2022 donation total?
My 2021 email came on 4/8/21.

Sort of related - I got some We Will gear in the mail this weekend after signing up for one of the WWC tiers. Really cool stuff, great shirts and an awesome sweatshirt. Nice perk for those who can't take full advantage of the in-person stuff like this event in Ankeny
