The cubs minor leaguer Josh Vitters had a great week in Midwestern League play going 13-27 with 5 home runs and 3 double while driving in 10. He did strike out 5 times thou. For the Month of May he's hitting .403:biggrin:

I assume with peoria? I'm going to peoria's game tomorrow, ill have to keep an eye out

Hey he's in the majors.

If he ain't suppose to be great then why were the Padres demanding that he be in any Peavy deal?
So was Michael Jordan, even though he was a replacement player (don't discount them, see Kevin Millar, Brendan Donnelly, and Damian Miller) but has he had the career a number 1 overall draft pick should?

I'm leary about these "can't miss" prospects for the Cubs because guys like Brooks Kieshnick, Bobby Hill, Corey Patterson, and Felix Pie were supposed to be studs too and all flopped.

Well he was the most polished hitter in his draft so this isn't surprising. Whats unfortunate is I think Ramirez has more in his tank to keep playing and Vitters is right behind him. So does Vitter replace Lee, Bradley, Soriano?

I'll never understand the Cubs and how certain players never pan out in the big leagues. I swear they have all the "Crash Davis" type players that end up being minor league legends. I hope they can call up Jake Fox pretty soon. He is having an unbelievable year right now
