Looks like Lou said he was going to talk to Hendry about it during his post game interview. Gosh i hope we get rid of him.

It might be a worse situation than Bradley. Zambrano's deal is ugly.

5 years/$91.5M (2008-12), plus 2013 vesting option
$5M signing bonus
08:$15M, 09:$17.75M, 10:$17.875M, 11:$17.875M, 12:$18M, 13:$19.25M vesting player option
full no-trade clause

Big Z will get interest from other teams. Ozzie would take him in a heartbeat.

Ozzie asked if he could manage Z: "Yes I can, and that's not tampering."

Guillen still has plans to go to dinner with Z tonight. Asked what he would say to him about the blowup? "Nothing."

The Sox would not take on any of his salary, I feel confident saying that.

Zambrano would literally be a mop up reliever for the Sox. He would not crack the rotation, or the first 5 of the pen.

Lou never once said they would talk about getting rid of him. Never once hinted at what the consequences would be. All he said is they would talk about what happened and at the least, Zambrano would have to apologize.

Maybe the Yankees will trade them AJ Burnett in return.j

AJ is a head case but at least when he was getting bombed the other night he stayed in the game and threw 100 pitches. Million dollar arm and twenty cent brain.

Exactly, plus he's got a lot of baggage.

If the Cubs can't handle pitcher Carlos Zambrano and his antics, there's a manager on the other side of town that would welcome him with open arms.
"Yes I can, yes I can, why not?'' White Sox skipper Ozzie Guillen replied, when asked if he could handle a player like Zambrano. "This is not tampering either. He asked me a question and I answered it. I can manage anybody. I can. Why not? You go about your stuff, you believe in yourself, you believe in respect. I'm not afraid [to manage] any player in baseball because I'm going to give them all the respect I can to perform for me.''

I heard on the radio that Zambrano and Lee actually got to fisticuffs. What happened to this guy, Zambrano? He was one of the players who actually contributed to the Cubs limited success. If he wants out of Chi-town, why doesn't he waive his no-trade clause and ask to be traded? This incident is absolutely ridiculous -- all the late night talk show hosts will have a field day with this. Zamboni has just turned himself into a national joke, and the Cubs even more of a joke. :realmad:
