Cubs Tickets on Sale Today!

My brother is actually getting some for us - may go to the Cubs/White Sox game in June.

Not a baseball fan by any means, but gotta check out Wrigley Field I 'spose. ;)

I always use Stub Hub or the good old fashioned scalp em on the train platform.

Usually you can get in after 5:00 when everyone goes home but all the good games are gone.

I spent the day in the wait room last year and got maybe two sets of tickets. As InCyte said, alot of the better games are gone, but the waiting room opened up like the parting of the Red Sea about 4:00.

The ticket office opened at Wrigley this morning at 8:00 and there was a pre-sale last month - so the better games are already going to be slim pickings.

My advice would be to try the wait room and head straight for Aug/Sept. Hotter, yet less chance of a rain out. And the May/June/July tickets are what people go after first, so they are the first to run out of selection.

I've used Stub Hub before as well. It was my only success. I even tried looking for tickets for the next day once we actually got to the original game and they were sold out. That was maybe June.

Otherwise the two other times I went, didn't have to pay for tickets. Sweet!

Cubs vs White Sox, thats always a good one. I would never go to the south side to watch it though. I have my saftey to account for.

I am a Cubs fan, and go to at least 6 games a year, but it is probably safer around US Cellular Field than it is at Wrigley.

Are you serious? I mean REALLY?

Sox fans alone make the chances you get kicked in the head or shot jump 10 fold. I lived on the North side and while you don't really want your grandmother walking around alone at 3am, I don't want to walk around the South side at Noon with a hand grenade.

The Brewers single game tickets go on sale Saturday @ 9, I'm going to try and get tickets for the July 29 afternoon game. It's just easier for me to see the Cubs when they come to Milwaukee then it is for me to drag the family down to Wrigley. Plus Miller Park is not that bad of a stadium and it's only an 1 1/2 hour drive.

My brother enjoys going up to Milwaukee to watch the games - says it's a bit easier to get in and out of there than Wrigley.

We're going to get bleacher seats in the outfield I guess. I plan on bringing a glove, helmet and shoulder pads.

Thats a good thought. Since we have friends closer to Milwaukee than Chicago, thats a good idea.

The stadium is really great too, from the outside anyway. Might just have to stop by the High Life again.

The area around the Cell is pretty safe, considering that is where most of the cops and firemen in Chicago live. It's a decent working class area... Now if you get too far away from the cell... thats a different story...

Do you not remember that I was in a horrific softball accident???

This sounds dangerous......

Anyone having trouble getting in? I keep getting a blank screen when I try it...
