Looks like the 04/13 Cubs/Phillies game is blacked out on Mediacom TBS. I hate this blasted rule. I live in Iowa and can't watch a baseball game played in Philly. :realmad:

The game is blackedout in EACh teams home network. How is Des Moines/Ames in the Cubs home network?

Yet I'm only a 2.75 hour drive from Wrigley and I can watch it here in Wisconsin, yet your in the middle of Iowa and can't. Something is wrong (yet right for me) about that.

I get it here in St Louis. It's odd hearing Skip Caray do a Cubs game again!

I hate this too. Luckily I'm only a casual Cubs fan and a die hard Twins fan and the Twins-royals game is on FSN Midwest! Francisco Liriano's first major league start of the season!

Is this a Mediacom thing...how is it when your 6 hours away from Chicago you are considered in a "home network"

According to MLB Iowa is the home network of the Cubs, White Sox, Twins , Brewers, Royals and the Cards.
We have fought this for years in North Dakota, with both the MLB and NFL. We even tried to take it to the next level with our State reps in Congress....no luck:no:

If you have no pro sports franchise in your State you should never be blacked out was our arguement, we lost.....

   So instead, they put literally nothing on TBS!?!? This is insane. MLB is only hurting themselves. I suppose I should have bought plane tickets to Philly and attended the game instead? What a bunch of idiots.

That's weird. It's on on Comcast Sports Net in eastern Iowa, although it's blacked out on TBS.

And that's why it is blacked out. If the game was not also being televised by each team's "local" station, then everyone would be able to get it on TBS.

Dear MLB,

Your TV policies suck.

Sincerely,

Every baseball fan

yeah my neighbors have it blacked out on regular TBS but on TBS HD it comes in? dont know if that is a mistake or not but i'm enjoying it.

Another screw job by Mediacom. They don't carry Comcast SportsNet but we get it blacked out anyways. Is the rule that it's always blacked out even if the game isn't available via that vendor? If the rule is to keep it from competing with a local market it really shouldn't apply since the feed doesn't exist. Then again, who said anything was fair in this case.
