Have the cubs hit the bottom yet, or they going to spiral down until they are eliminated form the playoffs. They are currently trailing the Reds(losing BAD) 9-0 and are showing no signs of caring or have a clue how to change it around!
With big Z and Harden both in trouble they may never recover. They have a benefit that the Brewers and Cards are also losing.
The way the defense is playing(Ramirez) shows me that they may not care or else just to tired. It is hard to read .
Could be a cause for concern. It could come deown to the final season ending series with the brewers.
It is awful hard to watch when they were having such a great season and we had become use to watching them win regularly..

This thread is directed to call the Mr. Obvious show immediately.

They're going to at least get the wild card. I'd much rather win the division, but making the playoffs is the big thing. However, the problem is that at this rate, they're going to be playing like dog doo-doo by the time the playoffs roll around.

Lou should send a message to these guys and yank them all right now in this game and put in the scrubs. This game is lost and there is no reason to risk injury to one of the starters.

Looks like he has.

On a totally different note, the Sox seem to be handling the first game of post-TCQ era with grace. :p

In the meantime, Ned Yost pulls Sabathia with a 2-1 lead, and the first pitch that Gagne throws is bombed over the fence to tie the game. Second batter doubles.

2-2, bottom of the eighth. SD had 2 on, 1 out and then runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out and got no more...
