Cubs Game Blacked-Out

Keith Murphy on 13 just said it was blacked out on MediaCom. I have DirecTV and the cubs games on ESPN are always blacked out but I have Chicago Sports Net and it appears that it will be on there

I have Direct TV as well and I live in KC. Between Comcast Sports Net, WGN,ESPN and the MLB package, I have only not been able to see one game so far this season.

its because comcast owns most of the rights to the cubs games. so, unless comcast isnt carrying it that night. i dont think its on espn in iowa. Dont quote me on this though, i am still mad i cant watch it.

Blacked out on ESPN, but thankfully it's on FSN-Wisconsin.

Directtv is so great...last night I went to their website, got rid of some of the movie channels (kept HBO for now) and got the SportsPack. It was a matter on minutes if that and they were all on. This is going to be nice this fall.

This is not a shock. It happens every time.

The TBS Sunday and ESPN Wednesday games are not exclusive national broadcasts. If you live in Iowa and don't get Comcast (or FSN Wisconsin, in tonight's case), you are blacked out. Obviously this is only for cable subscribers, as satellite customers should get one or more of the FSN/Comcast affiliates as their "local" region.

The ESPN Sunday night and Fox Saturday games are exclusive national games, meaning you should be able to watch only on those stations.

Weird. I have Directv and we're watching it on ESPNHD. We've also noticed that every so often, we get one of the MLB Extra Innings channels (The pay-per-view package). We were able to watch all of the games in this series (wife is a Brewers fan - rough week for her).
