MLB: Cubs Close on Grabow

ESPN Chicago? Good god, they should come here next.

Anyways, you'll know who it is if someone gets pulled out of the game or isn't in the dugout anymore. However, my guess is that it's a minor leaguer, as the Pirates haven't really gotten any major-league ready talent back in the deals they've made.

Yeah, I figured it would be a minor leaguer also.

Makes you wonder about Pittsburg, if you look at all the players they have given up the past couple of years, they would have been a very good team I think. Pitching would have been issue, I can't recall to many good pitchers, but otherwise they had some pieces.

My exact thoughts since they traded McLouth; you have to wonder if the plan is to stock up on prospects and hope they pan out. It's puzzling, that's for sure.

The Pirates have been "rebuilding" for years. Their fans are getting upset because they agreed to fund that beautiful new stadium they have now under the condition that the ownership would get serious about putting together a winning team with the added revenue the new stadium was to bring in. Obviously that has not happened and the more they keep trading away their best players every year the less butts there will be in the seats to help bring in revenue to build a winning team with some actual MLB ready talent.

I hope it's Miles as well, but that wouldn't make any sense on Pittsburgh's end unless Chicago picks up the rest of the contract. Whatever, it isn't my money.

Yea, I'm not sure why the Pirates would want that piece of crap.

Well...they did just trade away their infield. It would be awesome if they could somehow dump Miles.

Gorz would not be a bad throw in. He had a nice 2007 season but has struggled since then but he's also a lefty and possibly a change of scenery could help
