Make it fit in the crockpot. It'll be goodI'd just break up the bones and toss them in. Should work just fine.

Agree about chucks, and I smoke them frequently.tried it. overrated.
not that it was bad but, honestly, it's hard to f up a chuck roast in a slow cooker, the ranch powder completely disappears but i liked the pepperoncini, which i'm new to.
Measurements? Sorry, engineer.I make crock pot pizza.
Hamburger, egg noodles, shredded cheese, pizza sauce, chopped onions, mushrooms, and pepperoni.
The venison substitution turned out magnificently, meat was obviously a little leaner, but sliced/shredded easily enough and paired perfectly with the au jus. I did add a beef bullion cube, a julienned onion, and some minced garlic (~1 T.) to minimize any "gameiness" - thanks again for sharing!Awesome! I hope it works out the same with venison. Very curious how it turns out!
Also, I gave this recipe to an old ex years and years ago and her family got day old bread from Jimmy Johns to make the sandwiches. I need to try that!
