Had to buy a new slow cooker, and was a nice reminder of how much I love making stuff in the crock pot this time of year.

What are your favorite go-to dishes?

Chili, pot roast, red beans and rice/jambalaya, and Asian-style chicken and broccoli are my go-tos.

Post your recipes

Wrap the crock pot with aluminum foil. Make meatloaf however you like but mix in a can of pizza sauce. Add ketchup or more sauce on top and cook slow. So damn good.

If you like The Office and chili this is loaded with good recipes. Not all say crockpot but they all could be made in a one.

I've heard that taking the remains of rotisserie chicken can be used for a good stew and would like to tap into that this year.

Also chicken thighs. Salt pepper garlic. Sear them first then you can make jt into just about anything. Hot sauce or teriyaki or salsa covering it in the pot are my go toos.

This is my goto lately with Chuck roasts. Put it on top of some garlic mashed potatoes and a little brown gravy if you choose and is soo good.
We buy beef in bulk and a lot of times I'll use the cuts like arm, 7 bone, etc for it. Just an overall great recipe.

Can you share more on this please?
Just salt, pepper and garlic the thighs then get both sides a little brown on the stove with some oil or butter. Toss in the crock pot and cover in one of those sauces or whatever you prefer. Sometimes I'll toss in onion with it. 3 hours on high or 6 on low. I shred it and freeze some usually. Leftovers are great to throw in a salad.

Awesome, thank you. How many thighs?

I got one of these recently and it's been a game changer.
You can sear/slow cook/throw the pot without glass into oven.

Kielbasa Soup

1 ring kielbasa sliced thinly
2 16 oz cans of whole tomatoes
2 small cans mushroom pieces and stems
1 4 oz jar pimento
1 4oz can chopped green chilis
1 can butter beans
1 can red beans
1 can pork and beans
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

Toss everything in crockpot and stir well. Put on low 4-6 hours or while you are gone to work. On your way home, stop and grab a bag of King's Hawaiian dinner rolls to serve along side. Life changing recipe we get asked to share all the time.

Roughly how many tomatoes is a quart? Assuming by whole you mean fresh tomatoes
