I'm seeing some buzz around the net that ISU is going after the Marshalltown QB and may be on the verge of an offer.

Anyone confirm/deny this?

I have heard that there may be mutual interest, but that was just a rumor. I have also heard he is a playmaker, you can never have enough of those.

I hope we are after him.

I have heard some buzz as well and I am wondering if it is a schollie offer or a walk-on opprotunity. What I have heard is that he would get a shot at QB and could end up switching positions if QB didn't work out. At a listed 6'7'' 205 lbs, with quick enough feet to get looks for basketball schollies, he should have the athleticism to stick at some position. Maybe a WR/TE hybrid after a few years in the weight room?

I'd love to see a local guy make an impact. From what I've heard, he's a tremendous athlete. It'd be a mistake to let him get away.

He backed out of the CA ( I think Santa Clara ) commitment. I hear he is better than Joe Montana.

He verballed last year to play BBall out in Cali, but I have heard he has since soured on the idea due to his/Mtown's success in football this year. I understand he was here this weekend on a official visit and is considering playing football in college now. I am not positive on the offer, but I believe one was given to him this weekend. I'd personally love to have him on the team whether it's at Qb or another spot.

He would be similar to Veir from Ballard. He could grow into a TE because of his frame and his athleticism. Great pickup if he wanted to be a Cyclone.

Yep. You get athletes in and then find a fit for their gifts. Plus he is a winner. You want winners. They will not tolerate losing, and it will drive them to improve themselves, and that is infectious. All things being equal, always go with a winner. They expect to win. And you cannot coach charisma and leadership.

QB, TE, WR, who cares. If they like him, get him here and let's keep building towards a brighter future at ISU.

Rivals shows an Iowa offer, but no interest in them. I wonder if that's accurate or a carry over from basketball.

He has one heck of an arm. He lit up Ames this year on the deep ball. Of course it did not help that Ames had a strong safety that seemed to run approximately a 5.3 40 and earned the nickname butter. Butter not because he was smooth, but because he was TOAST so often.

Creekmur is a good basketball player though, good enough I am surprised he is not going that route.

Could be a great late recruit to get to ISU (kind of like Jake Knott). In that last minute game winning drive against Dowling he hit passes on at least 2 and maybe it was 3 4th and longs. Must be a great pressure player and I'm looking forward to watching him Friday in the championship. Hope he and the Bobcats punk that Iowa City bunch, but that's a tall order.
