Interesting, but I'd think he'd be holding out for a better job than that. Then again there has already been a lot of turnover this year. The pickings in the coming years might be sparse. Chargers, Packers, Bears & Vikings may be in the market by the end of next year if their teams tank.
I doubt it. I think it takes a truly special job for Cowher to come out of retirement. I don't think KC is special enough.
Duh, don't you guys know that Ferentz is going to KC?
I just heard first year pro HCs get $2.0-2.5M for their first gig. Since KF gets $2.6M, he would have to fall outside the pro envelope. Also DCs can get $2.0M believe it or not.
I called for Cowher be the Cyclones coach the day "dirty turd" left.

As a Steeler fan I would not mind Cowher ending up in KC at all! I wasn't thrilled when the rumors had him going to Cleveland...that just woudln't be right (except for Cowher's family as they cashed the paycheck)! The Steelers hired him to be our head coach out of his position of defensive coordinator in KC. How many coaches have the Chiefs had since then? Not a flame Chief fans...just it has been a long time!
Just saw on ESPN's crawl that the offensive coordinator is going to be the head coach of the Chiefs. Can't remember the guy's name. Looking for an article on it.
