Cowboys sign Weeden, but he's only counting 75K against the cap this year.

Furthermore, i think this is because the 7th highest paid player on our roster (Kyle Orton) will be cut/retire saving almost 1 mil. So, here's Jerry Economics of how to cap strangle a franchise. Seattle wins superbowl with a qb thats costing them 750k. 49ers got to the super bowl last year with a qb that was costing them 800K.

Dallas on the other hand has a backup qb that would be one of the top 15 paid players on any roster, and for Dallas, he carries a clipboard!!!!

Consider this - 2 of dallas top 7 salaries for 2014 dont even start!!!! Thats bad management IMO.
Morris Claiborne - 4.4 mil
Kyle Orton - 4.3 mil

Might not sign Ware or Hatch, but, another 7.7 million could be spent on some much needed talent that sees the field!!!!

Unless Claiborne busts out this year, he will be considered one of the biggest draft busts of all time!!!!

Keep signing those high priced over age free agents Jerry, keep thinking its a win now scheme it seems to be working - for 8-8 each year. Look on the bright side, with the expanded playoffs, we might just make it!!!!
