anyone have any good places to get some decals for a new cornhole set? Finished the boards, now need to clone them up.

I used wall stars when I did mine. They've held up reasonably well and stick good. They always have to be pushed bac down after winter storage though.

I painted the logos using the tape and paint method. I printed a large version of the I-State logo and cut out the basic shape. Then put yellow down first, put the logo on and then touched up the black around the logo. Next, I took thin painters tape and filled in everything in and around the letters except for what I wanted the red to be. Then I painted the red and touched up with yellow and black where necessary. The whole painting process was incredibly time consuming.

I stained my boards and they look great, but the three coats of spar (varnish) on them was a little too much. They are smoother than .... well you know. If I had to do it over, I'd paint them and get decals for the boards.

I thought calling it "cornhole" had pretty much been beaten outta everyone by now by the amount of ridicule that occurs on the forum whenever anyone uses this term. I guess not so.

I am cornholio I need tp for my bunghole? Or, "hey peter man, watch out for your cornhole okay." Anyway paint the logo.

Contact Ryan Petersen. He's an ISU alum and graphic designer who does decals. I've ordered from him twice for my boards, including some very detailed stuff. His work is top notch and the prices are good. [email protected]

anyone try to stain part of it? I saw these online and thought they looked real nice.View attachment 13649

I made my boards similar to these. I painted boards first, then stained the unpainted section then applied decal (petersen graphics) then coated entire surface with Minwax Polycrylic 4 times. The polycrylic is very easy to use and cleans up with water. Sand between coats with 250 grit. Good luck!

I am in the process of building my boards right now. The middle section is stained and will have a red and yellow stripe around the board. I am planning on doing to leaning cy logo similar to this...
