Cool gift ideas for high school age boys

Has anyone come up with cool gift ideas for high school age boys?

Here are a few ideas to start:

• Beats
• Favorite Sports Jersey
• Dorm stuff for college (if senior in HS)
• Gaming equipment (Rock Band instruments, etc.)

Oh, if they have a steady girlfriend, remember to get them something. Nothing expensive, but it's the thought that counts.

This is why I always prefer to give/get gift cards. No matter how specific I am with clothing, the person always seems to pick out something different.
But it is the thought that counts.

If you get headphones... don't get Beats. Well I guess it depends on your kid. Beats headphones are expensive because they are "in". Not because of the quality. They aren't bad quality, but for the price you pay for them you can get better quality headphones. If you do some research you'll see what I mean.

If they're "in" the kid likely will not care that there are other headphones with better quality. If Beats are cool he's going to want Beats, and then you buy him Sennheiser's because they're better quality he's going to be like wtf, dad?
