Congrats on the win. Tough loss for the Hawks. I was very impressed again with the toughness and fortitude of Morris and Niang. That is the number one thing Iowa is missing. I thought it was a great battle with a number of different players stepping up at different times in the game. I think we were looking at two tourney teams. I am hoping Iowa gets there. A win in this game would have been very nice on the resume. For what it is worth, I think the Clones have a fine team. I am not sure I see a great team yet but certainly I see the potential. I just don't now if you have the depth (Long/Nader need to make shots) for a deep run but like I said, I can see the potential. I can't imagine you guys running into too many teams with a better point guard which will always give you a chance if the game is close.

The two biggest things IMO ISU needs to do is get better on the defensive boards and find the 3 point shooter on defense.

Good, exciting team. Good, exciting game. Hard to lose a game like that with 4 seniors and a junior on the floor. That is what pressure does to a team.

Your team came out on fire. Obviously Uthoff will be scoring a ton of points for you this year. Really think the game got out of hand early due to ISU trying to score too fast, uncommon to have that many turnovers. Doubt if you have to be worried about the tournament, Iowa should definitely be in the top 4 of the big10 as I really don't see too many high profile big10 teams other than MSU, Purdue, & Maryland. Fran will have underachieved if you don't finish in the top 4 of that league this year with both Ohio State and Wisconsin down. And yes, Monte is a tough dude.

I equate us to Iowa football who's schedule was soft, a team's metal is tested in tough games, and this game certainly qualified.
No way to tell if we're a great team until the OU/KU match ups.
It'll be fun watching the Hawks succeed this year, now that we're last this nail biter.
