The only preseason team future bet I could find on one of our legal sportsbooks here in Iowa had this prop - O/U 2.5 Big XII wins. If I had to pick, I’d slightly lean over just because there are some other bottom feeders who won’t be that great this year, and I’d like to think we could pull off one upset of a top half team just from better coaching.

Posted on BetRivers/Unibet/Barstool(all use the same odds provider) for anyone confident enough to take a position.

Edit: I guess not the only future out there. You can get ISU to win the Big XII at 200:1 or to win the natty at 500:1 if you like setting your money on fire.

4 or 5 seems about right to me. With the improved backcourt over the course of a season, there’s gotta be a few nights where things are clicking against some of the bottom teams in the conference

I’m going under. Think we go 2-16 in Big 12 play. I’m just hoping we see improvement through the year and that it looks like an identity is there. Hopefully a handful of competitive games.

We will surprise folks and be close in lots of games. I think 6 wins is possible, but 4 sounds about right. Even 1 win beats last season.

I'm down to 3-15 now from 6-12 before we just lost 2 potential starters this fall. If Conditt hasn't improved at all its going to be extremely ugly watching our frontcourt against Big 12 bigs.

Win all the tuneup games, win at least one of the non-conf Power 5 games and go 3-15 and I'll be content with the season.

This team is in a world of hurt trying to matchup with the top half of the conference. I think we beat TCU, K-State and then we upset someone in Hilton, no road wins again.

This team isn’t going to go .500 in the league. But I think they will end up somewhere around 5 wins. It will be much better than last year, in terms of not having a guy who everyone knows is dead man walking.

I have no idea if TJ is very good in terms of X’s and O’s, but with the crater the program is in, he’s going to get every chance in the world to get better.

I’m thinking 3 so I’d technically bet the over, but don’t feel very confident about that.

I think this team can get 5-6 conference wins. I see it as winning one out of every 3 or so. If players buy in and really clamp down on defense they can find ways to neutralize talent gaps.

Winning 3 is possible. There were at least 3 games there for the taking last year. Just need to see it from this group of guys before jumping in on the over
