Wasn’t great wording on my part. The greater point was that it is way more important to Iowa State fans than most fan bases, which is why it made the list . Weird was not a good choice
Thanks for all of the feedback on the board. It’s tough stuff, and frankly I probably overthink things and take them too personally. It’s hard to walk the line. People either think we are total homers or not hard enough on the “negative” folks. There doesn’t seem to be much middle ground, which is probably more of an indictment on our society. The fact is that we have 20 thousand folks on the site every day and you’ll get all kinds. I can’t control everything. I’m going to keep working on things. I won’t lie though. I’ve been doing the fan site thing for 15 years though and the constant negativity starts to wear on a guy. I should just ignore it but I’ve been on call 24/7, 365 for 10 years and this deal becomes a part of who you are. You just want it to be great. We’ll keep plugging away.
Just going to point out that you can't have a positive without a negative. They are two sides of the same coin.
Apathy is what you want to avoid. Because that means people don't care anymore. In fact, I think a wise man (Woody) pointed this out in thier last podcast.
Of the 20.000 people on the site every day, what percentage actively posts? Honest question.
You could just point out that CF started out as a campaign to fire a coach that was a year removed from the 2nd Round.

I know u r prolly looking for tangible suggestions. Maybe as far as the negativity(also subjective), u could delegate 5-10 Mods to have or check a negativity checkbox. Once 5-7 negativity checkbox ratings r received on a particular thread, consider locking it. The thread could only be re-opened thru petition directly to u or one of mods.
The present negativity surrounding our bb coach may be warranted due to recent loss (losses). Not saying that situation can’t be turned around but... In this case more negativity should likely be allowed (history of CF also so). That is where the mods come in again, to make thread by thread adjustments, waivers or whatever.
