Headed to the Breckenridge, CO area this summer, any recomendations on a nice place to stay, that is not too pricey, and nice places to eat?

Depends on how many people are going. If it's two couples i would recommend renting a townhouse.

Places to eat. I don't know what you consider nice. These places are all casual.

beaujos pizza in Idaho Springs on the way up.

Downstairs at Erics

Mi Casa

Rasta Pasta

Just my wife and I. Have been to idaho springs, there is a good brew pub there that makes great beer. Probably just looking for casual places to eat.

Downstairs at Erics-Hamburger/sports bar combo. Tons of different beer. During the day it's more of a place to eat than a bar. It's on the main street in a basement.

Mi Casa-Good Mexican food. Good for both lunch and dinner.

Rasta Pasta-Very casual. Probably better for lunch.RastaPasta.net - Breck Dinner

Murphy's-This is actually in Silverthorne. Good irish bar/grill.

I think with it being off season you should consider a townhouse/condo and ask them for a free night or something. I would much rather stay in one of these than a hotel even if it was $40 more a night.

there is a great little breakfast joint close to DownStairs at Eric's that you might want to hit.

The Breckenridge Brewery is another good place to eat.
Depending on how long you are there, there is a great WineBar/Restaurant (and other restaurants) in downtown Frisco that is only about 15 minutes away.

It's about 30-40 miles from Breckenridge but I just spent an amazing weekend at the Bear Creek Cabins outside of Evergreen. The cabins were great, came with a fridge and stove, and there's a nice creek about twenty feet from the front door of the cabin. The owners are great too. It was my first time in Colorado so they gave me a very detailed map of the area and spent almost an hour showing me some places to check out.
