Two notes:

1: I know NCAA baseball is a sore spot for several posters on this board, but I figured it needed a thread.

2: I'm putting this in the Big XII Conference board because facts. Dang good performances by the conference teams so far.
 
I usually try to pick a favorite heading into the CWS each year. This year I just decided to root for the conference teams since we got several in. Hopefully TCU keeps it going tonight.
 
People really should make the pilgrimage to Omaha for this event at least once in their life. It's a fantastic week of sports fun that is basically a 10 day long party.
 
Amazing that 1/3 of the Big XII conference teams still remain with only 6 teams still alive. That after 10 ACC and 7 SEC teams were in the first round while I believe that those three Big XII teams were the only ones picked. WVU felt somewhat snubbed and obviously with these results they probably were.
 
A&M got eliminated in Supers, but did anyone else catch that video of what their entire crowds does after a 4 pitch walk?

Screw Bruce for ending ISU baseball. It sucks that ISU can't even be in the conversation of potentially making it to the CWS since we don't even have a team.

ISU has zero potential to make the CWS. Its just not ISU, but northern teams in general. Okie State is the northern most team in the CWS. Look deeper at the top 32 teams -Navy, Fairfield, Boston College, Ohio State, Minnesota, Nebraska and maybe Louisville would be considered northern teams

With the existing college baseball season, the best ISU could hope for in the Big12 might be a .500 record for the season. I would love to see ISU offer baseball, but we would stink. It would also require that we add women's sports to abide by title IX. With ISU's revenue streams, I would rather have us focus on few sports.

In Game 3 of the College Station super regional an aTm pitcher had a 4 pitch walk and the TCU fans there (it was about 75/25) started the "Ball 4" thing. Needless to say the maroon wearing cult members were not amused.

Its funny... Iowa State Baseball is infinitely more popular in death than it ever was when it was alive.

And the last time ISU was in the "conversation of potentially making it to the CWS" was the 1970's... Hell it was barely in the conversation for making the Big XII tournament in the modern era.
 
Well...looking like Okie Lite is in trouble. Hope TCU can win tonight or it will be a bit of an implosion by the Big 12 after such a stellar start.
