While watching ESPN Herbstreit said some plain out stupid stuff. First while picking games to watch they pick every B10/SEC game. He then goes on to talk about the Alabama Michigan game, saying "The reason this game is interesting is because the SEC has been so dominant the past 6 years, and the only team to really test them has been the B10". Uhm... What.. Hasn't the B10 been horrible lately..? As if that wasn't enough, he carried on to go for an upset game, chose PSU vs Ohio. Says this, "I know everyone is pulling for PSU, but I'm not sure they'll be able to make it through this one". Soooo... Who is pulling for PSU? Is it only cyclone fans that hate PSU? Last I checked most people hate PSU right now, and want the program burnt to the ground. Amazing how disconnected ESPN seems.

I cut the cord about a year ago. I only watch ESPN for games. I get my sports new from other sources, and it makes it even more blatantly obvious how ESPN tries to create news.

Watching Herbstreit was your first mistake.

SEC bias because it is ESPN.
Big 10 bias because Herbstreit went to Ohio State.

We are ISU. We are not the chosen few. We are, however, impressive, when these blowhards actually do travel to Ames and see a game, meet the fans and enjoy the day.

I personally can't stand all the talk about how much Mizzou and aTm are going to have to step it up to compete in the SEC, as if the SEC is so far above and beyond the Big 12 that these schools can't even image what they are up against. It is almost enough to make me root for them to go into the SEC and tear it up. Almost.

I had nothing better to do so I watched the "Big12 Preview" that SportsNation did. OMG...they might was well have called it the "WVU and OU Preview." I don't know 3 people could talk about 2 teams for almost an hour, but they did.

Someone want to tell them that there are 10 teams in the Big12???

Yes, the midget tossing finals this year were great. I thought Lars von Midgethammer got screwed out of first place, though.
They really need to take a look at the whole rule book. His midget had way fatter arms, making him harder to grab, and wasnt wearing near the same level of aerodynamic clothing the other midgets were wearing. You think they would have this organized better by now. And that line call on his first throw was ********. Midget throwing needs instant replay.....bad.

ESPN call themselves the leader in worldwide sports. But yet all they cover is about 5 Sports and most of the time like you all mentioned it's focused on the SEC.

SportCenter just goes over the same crap hour after hour, Why don't they just spread their wings and show some other sports from across the globe to put a end to endless highlight loop play

Costs money.

I enjoyed some guy choosing Florida state to win the National Championship.

Which they have plenty of. Most other nations top sports broadcaster's cover the world of sports.

Fine, they make more money reruning sportscenter than paying to broadcast some obscure sport not already shown on espn 8. Not saying i dont agree with you, just i am sure teh bottom line is probably the biggest factor.

Kind of like paying to play music videos on MTV is more expensive than following teenagers with kids around with cameras.
