I noticed we had some positive results from Vega and others at the UNK open. Colbray also wrestled and was listed "unattached". I'm wondering if he can still redshirt this year? Can someone please confirm this for me. Unfortunately his results are not stellar so far and I'm still hoping he can use his rs year to develop.

Was wondering the same thing. Somebody told me he can still redshirt since it was only one match. Never heard that rule.
 
Don't know how true that is. Always heard once it's pulled it's gone for the year. Only way to get it back would be if he got hurt and only had a limited number of competitions. Pretty much what happened to Logan Stieber and Kaid Brock
 
It's gone. If he was unattached yesterday the only reason would be that it wasn't an official event on ISU's schedule.
 
Something more to this redshirt question. We will see who wrestles 197 this weekend
 
anyone in here know what happened to Ben Ewing? Went to the same high school as me ( i still have the fastest pin in school history. No. Big. Deal) and Erik Akin is the head coach there now.

Went and played football at Fort Hays State
 
Was not ranked in senior class or weight class nationally.
Had a dad or uncle wrestle for Iowa State
