So Coach Herman along with other assistant coaches are in the press box during the game. I assume they are with the team in the Locker Room at Halftime. How do they get from the Press Box to the Locker Room?

a. Take a leisurely stroll through the crowd, stopping for a hot dog along the way.

b. Take the elevator down to a secret underground tunnel.

c. Use a teleporter device to beam themselves.

d. Use a Virtual Image device ala Princess Leia.

Seriously though, I always wondered since I don't ever see them at half walking through the crowd.

Either c or d. Remember, Herman's a MENSA member. He could have invented either of those during his spare time.

I saw McFarland come down the elevator on the west side and run over to the jacobson building. Also, he was getting a lot of **** from some fan about his play calling.

I was out behind the west side right before halftime, I saw all the baylor coaches come out of the elevator and run down to the locker room. I assume the ISU coaches are smart, head out of the elevator and just walk behind the concession area to save time.

I remember a running backs coach getting in a fight after a game out on the concourse a few years ago. Can't remember his name for sure. Tony Alford?

Here's a question I wonder, who are the 3 people sending the plays in on the sidelines and how did they go about selecting them? I don't see them on the staff page on Cyclones.com, or at least the woman isn't for sure.

I assume they are all doing different signals to make sure the opposing team doesn't pick up our play call and only the players know which one to look at.

It would be a cool job if you were the one with the fake call and just wave your arms all game.

The girl is my cousin! She is a student here at ISU, and has obviously moved up the ranks from water-girl over the last couple of years...

Do you know if she actually signals plays or is she a decoy at different times?

She calls plays too. I think the calls are rotated between the three signalers... Last year she was up in the box on the other end of the headset.

I thought this was going to be a thread about Crum and Suzuki starting a "logistics team."

Two of my favorite profs! Got the highest grade of my college career in Suzuki's Advanced TransLog (and now I forget the number...) I think those two and Skip would be an unbeatable Logistics Team! Is there a competition for that??? :biglaugh:

I hope this just means she was writing the plays down or something. Or it could explain a lot...
