This is an interesting page grading all of the coaches in D1 on their performances in 2007. Can't argue too much with Chizik's C-, since we were only 3-9. I especially love Ferentz's D- though, along with the comment, "Is anyone coaching this Iowa football team?". Pretty hilarious.

Sweet link... that was fun. Thought Chizik and Hawkins could've gotten better grades because of what was expected this year, and what they had to work with, but pretty on.

Wow, a B- for USC? 11-2. I guess it would take a perfect season for him to get an A. Very high expectations in Southern Cal.
When you have the kind of talent they have at USC, with almost everyone on the 2 deep being 4-5 stars, it's hard to lose to Stanford even if you're trying.

To me, Chizik getting a C- with that team was like me getting a C- in Stats 326 @ ISU.....I was pleased to have it over with and looked forward to my other classes.

I am really suprised at how high Phillip Fulmer was rated, a b+, considering that for most of the season, he was considered to be on the hot seat. It just shows what a few wins can do for fan morale, as many said he did a great job considering everything. It just goes to show how fast the perception of a coach can change. Remember when Charlie Weiss was a coaching genius?

The way I look at it, if you're going to go 3-9 you might as well beat Iowa, Kansas State and Colorado and lose to Kent State, UNI and Toledo. Says to me you can win rivalry and conference games and improve the team. In my opinion, we should have beat Kent State and Toledo, though.
