I don't think D'Antoni was to fired up about the trading of Marion. Bringing in Shaq went against what he has been building and took away what made the Suns unique and a tough team to play.
As a Bulls fan I can safely say I enjoy watching team defense way too much to get D'Antoni in there. And we (the Bulls) don't have Nash either. Don't care for that style of ball and his playoff record speaks for itself.
Paxson should've done whatever it took to get Kobe last year and Skiles would still have a serious contender in the playoffs right now. :realmad:
If D"Antoni was smart he would leave Phoenix ASAP. They are headed down the road of rebuilding with Shaq eating up 20 mil a year and Steve Nash is also not his MVP self any longer. If he stays coaching in Phoenix he will be fired within 2 years anyway so you might as well leave now while his coaching stock is still high.
This is a big summer for Paxson. He must pick the right coach first, draft wisely, and make decisions about the roster that will have a big impact on the immediate and long term future of the Bulls. Deng and Gordon are both restricted free agents and they also have too many guards on the roster that someone will have to be dealt.
I think they should trade their pick and maybe a guy like Hinrich and move up to pick Rose or Beasley.
