Any FCS coaches on the list?
Also, does anyone think if we paid CPR more, he would be a better coach?
No, it sure wouldn't. Just like it didn't when everyone on here was fretting about losing him to Pittsburgh, or any of the other jobs he could have pursued.
Again, and I mean this, IDGAF if you fire him tonight. Until all of the other issues with Iowa State football are addressed, we will be here again in 5 years, or sooner.
Do you think Bill Snyder could win here under the current conditions?
Wonder what Pollard will pay the next coach, assuming Rhoads is fired within the next 13 months. I'd think he could get somebody with a decent resume for under 1 million. That would leave plenty of money for Rhoads's buyout.
Wait, what?? You think we are going to get someone better than Rhoads by paying him LESS? Man, thank God no other program has figured that out. If you want to win more, you have to pay LESS. Those fools, wasting all that money. If they only knew.
I can just hear Pollard's pitch... "You are young, a tireless recruiter, innovative, personable, experienced... Just what we want at ISU. So we are going to pay you just over half of what the last guy was making here. Yeah, the guy we fired because he had two bad seasons. So you will be the lowest paid coach in the conference by far. Hello? Hello?"
I bet nobody will want the ISU job for 1 million dollars salary.
lol there are ingenious doctors/engineers who make <25% of Rhoads' salary, and I would trust them more with this program$1 million per year just isn't what it used to be.

Wasn't Hoiberg hired for less than a million?

Are you going to give him everything he got when he started there? Are you going to make that 800 lb gorilla to the east disappear?
It is unique here. The saddest part was all the increase in the budget was all TV money. Alum support is still ****.
Alum support is still good for the product we are getting. To build that support you have to at some point win games. You have to give college kids a reason to go to game and become life long fans. There basically is a lost generation of fans, the 40 to 60 age group, the group with the extra money to throw at the program. When you have an aging (65 and above) base and large mid 30s and below base, you are not going to get a lot of money thrown at the program.
What more does ISU need facilities wise (besides another practice field)? You keep saying we need more and more and more, but fail to give answers.
