Just caught part of it but it sounds like Luke Knott is being groomed for Linebacker or nickel position. I guess he is putting on weight easily and is over 200 Lbs. Has a nose for the ball like his brother.

Anyone else catch this?

I did not hear tonights show but I have heard Rhoads say something about JUCO LB which I think is probably a good idea. ISU will need one for sure.

I think Luke is actually a little taller as Pavlenko ended up being under his listed 6 foot.

I'd like to see him at WILL, but he's not as big as Jake. He's going to have to put on 20 lbs at least to play there. They're going to need some help, as George and Miller are the only two true LBs on the roster that have seen much time. I think that a JUCO is a necessity. They're going to have to play a lot more nickel next year just due to the lack of depth at MIKE and WILL. On top of that, it sure looks to me like Broomfield is being groomed to replace Givens unless Brackens takes the spot. Luckily, CJ Morgan sure looks the part and has some time before the light really needs to come on.

He talked briefly about guys getting healthy over the bye week and said specificly that Woody was getting time to heal up. He didn't say diffinitively if he would be back 100% this week though.

I think Broomfield is playing at a really high level. I'd like to see Morgan continue to put on good weight and become a true LB. I feel like our most effective nickelbacks have been more safety types than LB types.
