Their may be some people who do that, but I don't think that's generally the case. When I was in college (I graduated three years ago), we drove everywhere we went and had like 12 of us packed into a room. Some peoples parents might foot the bill for their trips but I don't think most of the college kids on spring break are living like kings, I know I wasn't. We were just happy to have some sunshine and booze.
