Trying to line up a bachelor party for a friend. We are from the New Hampton area and want to find a fun place for about 20-30 guys (ages 27-30) to go and have fun. we go to prairie du chien quite often so we wanted to find somewhere different around water with fun bars. Clear Lake any fun or any better ideas within an hour or possibly 2??? Thanks!!

Clear Lake’s population expands threefold during the summer months and while there is fun to be had, it is still pretty heavily family orientated IMO.

The boating would be the best idea. Not a lot real party options. More of a family lake. Tiki Bar is fun, Clear Lake Brewery is good as well, good beers. The Landing is a nice stop as well.
Hit the OP for some brews and food then the lake with a cooler full of beers.
While a nice little community, there's not a lot of party options in Clear Lake, unless there's a cool band playing at the Surf Ballroom that night.

Clear Lake's OP is probably the best of the OP's for food but they sure have a lot of families in there. I think they have patio bar though.
Don't know why you don't just rent a limo and do a pub crawl in Chickasaw County area (you know, Pinnicon Pub, Town House in Nashua, Hide-Away in Ionia, Pub on the Cedar in Chucktown...), then wind up at Klunder's for breakfast. Water is over-rated when you're toasted, anyway.

I would suggest Okoboji if you're willing to drive a little farther. More of a party feel and some adult entertainment up there as well, if that's the sort of thing you're in to
