Chiefs Stadium breaks world record for loudest crowd.

Dang that's impressive! Kansas City sports fans have been dying for something positive happen to one of their teams for a long time so it doesn't surprise me they are all jacked up.

Been to games both at Arrowhead and the Metrodome. Metrodome noise can't hold Arrowhead's jock.

So that explains the unseasonably warm temperatures in Kansas City today - that much hot air packed in one place...

:jimlad:

During the Farmageddon games down there, I was blown away how loud it got, and the stadium was usually about 60% full, with only half of those folks cheering at one time.

I can easily believe a full house screaming in unison at the top of their lungs would be some kind of record.

Would be cool to have one of these in Hilton and JTS for a game. I don't imagine JTS is even REMOTELY close to that, but I think Hilton could get in the general range at times.

According to KCCI, Hilton reached 109 decibels (Jet Engine loud) against Oklahoma on a Monday night.

Not to knock Chiefs fans because Arrowhead is definitely loud, but I'm pretty sure they just broke the record because no one else has tried breaking the record. I'm sure Hilton has come close a few times to breaking 130 decibels the last couple years, specifically against Kansas the last three years.

And not to knock Hilton, but I'm sure the Cameron Crazies and the Phog has broken 140 decibels.

We tested it: Hilton magic as loud as jet engine | Local News - KCCI Home

outdoor stadium brah....

The loudest indoor stadium record according to the Guinness website is the Milwaukee Bucks at 106 dB in 2008!???

Loudest crowd roar at a sports stadium (indoors)

Someone should email JP and have him get Guinness to the game against Michigan. Would be good pub for Hilton and ISU even if it later gets broken.

A 2008 Clippers vs. Bucks game holds the indoor record for loudest game. Hmm. Color me shocked.

I know during the finals with the jazz and bulls the delta center got quite loud and remember nbc lways having a decibal machine.

I have also been to both and I thought the Metrodome was louder. Thought my ears were going to bleed last year. To be fair though, last years game against the Packers was a playoff atmosphere and the Vikings needed the win to get into the playoffs. The year before that, the Chiefs weren't a good team so there wasn't as much excitement.
