I guess I wasn't even aware that they were still talking with him after they signed Gray last week. Personally, I'm glad. Culpepper would have been a temporary fix at best. Thigpen did all right last week. They just need to pick a QB, keep him healthy, and stick with him.

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI (TICKER) —Daunte Culpepper’s return to the NFL just got put on hold.

According to the Kansas City Star, Culpepper was set to discuss a possible comeback with the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday, but the team canceled that meeting.

I wouldn't have mind having him signed as backup. The way the Chiefs are going through QB's right now can never have enough! I'm not sold on Thigpen but I will give him props for a nice game Sunday.

Actually, ESPN said Culpepper canceled the meeting, stating he was in the works with another team on a better offer.

It's typical in cases like this that both sides claim they canceled the workout/meeting.

Meh. Either way I'm glad.

On one hand, he could choose the Lions...on the other, he could choose the Chiefs...probably best to stay at home and watch TV...
