Yes he has legally changed his last name. At least he has yet to write an autobiography and then wear a wedding dress in public to promote his book.

"CINCINNATI -- Maybe receiver Chad Johnson can go by the name that his head coach hates. JohnsonThe Cincinnati Bengals receiver has legally changed his name to Chad Javon Ocho Cinco in Broward County, Fla., a switch that became official this week. Johnson, who lives in Miami, didn't return a message left on his cell phone Friday night."

How much does this guy make a year? Couldn't he have at least paid someone to translate "85" correctly for him??

That's exactly what another friend said to me.
Maybe he only learned to count to 10 in Spanish.

Ochenta y cinco? Chad, pay up please

Si! I mean, the whole jersey story is funny and all, but why not make the story better by being correct?

Maybe this will boost his jersey sales not only in the U.S. but in Mexico.... all for the good of the game.

I hope they make him change his number now. I would find that highly amusing/satisfying.

Okay, I may be in the minority, but I love this and find Chad Ocho Cinco and his antics hilarious. I'm going to grab an Ocho Cinco jersey as soon as I see one.

I do find the whole story funny, and this is a big middle-finger to the whole fine thing. I just think it would have been funnier if he'd actually changed it to "eighty-five."

Ummm....he's not that good and he plays the part of a clown...that's his fame? At least TO is great!!!

I don't understand.
