CF Record Traffic

Just an FYI, we have set a record for traffic on the site over the past week and I would expect that to pick up even more over the course of the next few months.

Over the summer months we accumulated nearly 3,000 registered and active members (have visited the site more than once in the past 14 days). I would expect that number to grow substantially now that students are at school and Iowa State will be in action on the field/court.

Thanks. I'm not sure how many members actively visit either of the other two sites. I started this site in Feb and have almost 3,000 unique member-ids that visit regularly. I prune abandoned members all the time so that number reflects only the active members, not those that don't come back

I can say that based on the stats that I look at online, CR has traditionally had much more traffic than CN but CN is quickly catching up and seems to have grown it's user-base quite a bit since Chris Williams took over. I know that we have more daily traffic than both of the other sites, but part of that is the free nature of CF and the fact that we're a forum first site.

EDIT: This post is not meant to be a slam against any other site, I am simply stating the facts that I have garnered from online statistical research (aka my job).

Congrats mate...I will continue to do my part in making it entertaining as much as possible! I may not bring much football wise...but I hope to submit weekly editorials on love advice, Paris fashions, and all the latest gardening tips to help one grow the largest melons possible

How many registered members do you have? How many visitors with actual monikers? Just curious because that 3000 number is confusing to me. There is no way there are 3000 fans that actually have posted on here.

The number refers to the people that have registered on the site and visit the site regularly. That isn't the number of people that have posted but rather the number of people that visit here regularly and have a screen name.

Of course fewer people post on the forums but obviously a lot more visit the site without having registered.

I have only been a member for a few weeks but this site far exceeds my expectations.
