I get that there aren't a lot of Eagles fans around here, but this is a tough break for my favorite team. I lived there for 8 years and developed quite an attachment to them.

Wentz has been fun to watch with his escapes from sacks to his impossible throws. Foles has a lot of talent around him, and the defense is pretty solid. This makes the post season much, much harder, but not impossible.

I would imagine a lot of Vikings fans are excited about the increased possibility of home field advantage throughout the playoffs...

The few things interesting about this NFL season (such as DeShaun Watson and Carson Wentz... guys who are good and actually take some risks) keep getting hurt.

This sucks.

Philly still has the most complete roster, but the NFC is wide open now. There are no fewer than five teams that have a case for being the best in the conference - Philly, LA, Minnesota, New Orleans and Carolina. Plus a handful of wild card contenders who could be scary in January. I guarantee you nobody wants to see Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson lining up across from them in the divisional round. And the Cowboys could still be a factor - one game left on Zeke Elliott's suspension.

I have a bad feeling that this will just be one more year where I spend most of Super Bowl Sunday cursing Tom Brady and whatever NFC team he and Belichick are punking. Football gods, I'm begging you - anyone but the Steelers, Pats, or Cowboys.

Feel badly for Carson Wentz. He is way ahead of schedule in his development and playing out of his mind this year. Never wish injury on anyone, but it couldn't happen to a more obnoxious, delusional fanbase. Philly sports fans are just the worst. Sorry OP, but it's true.

Rodgers too.

Sucks to have one of the better teams lose a young star this late in the year.

Eagles have home field now with @ NY Giants (2-11), the Raiders* (7-6) and the Cowboys* (6-7)

Vikings have the Bengals* (5-8), @ Packers* (7-6) and Bears (4-9)

* = Still in the playoff hunt, so motivated

Aaron Rodgers is back for Green Bay

Ezekiel Elliot will be back for Dallas

It's funny how similar the schedules look for both teams, but the Eagles game at NY is easier than the Vikings at Green Bay. I'm going to bet that Eagles keep the home field, however how long they get to keep it in the playoffs (how long they survive) is seriously in doubt.

Too bad, because they could have had it all

I say we offer them Sam Bradford for a couple of 1st rounders

HA! Been there, done that

Foles had something going the first time he was in Philly, plus I like him for that soul crushing beat down he put on Iowa back when he played at Arizona. I think he'll be okay after a week of practice with the "ones"

It should be noted that Rodgers is not back for sure yet. They're still waiting for a CT scan on his collarbone to make sure it has healed enough where he is cleared to play. I'll be very surprised if he doesn't get cleared but it has not happened yet.

I don't disagree, but there are other fan bases in the running. I have a friend who is a Raiders fan. I was talking to him about the Bill Callahan hiring at Nebraska when it happened. I said something to the effect of going from one fan base with unreasonable expectations to another. He was offended by this and said that he didn't have unreasonable expectations. He said his expectation was that the Raiders make the Super Bowl every year and on average win it every other year. I usually find this buddy pretty reasonable but when it comes to his Raiders he is totally out there.

Well at least your Eagles have 2 "easy" games to get your QB ready for the playoffs. They have the Giants, Raiders, and then end @ Dallas which they may not even need their starters in that game if they put away the first two.

Depends if the Raiders have something to play for. They have Dallas, Philly and the Chargers

The last time the Eagles made the playoffs... Nick Foles was the starting QB, we will get to experience it again. The city comes alive when the Eagles are in the playoffs and look forward to it.
