It is crazy how many Russians are in the rankings at every weight.

Russia is kind of ok at wrestling. Even crazier when you consider a bunch of the other ranked guys are former Russian transplants. At 65kg for example #1 and #11 are both Russians wrestling for other countries. That gives them 10 out of the top 11.
Why some years the Yasar Dogu tournament and Russian Nationals can be tougher to win than a World title.
Well he isn't avoiding competition going to 165.

That's incredible. I think we've got some great coaches, but wish there was a way to get him involved in our program whether or not he's done. Unfortunately, not realistic. Congratulations to a GOAT.
We can’t get a guy to place at 65kg for almost 2 decades? And now have 2 Americans in the semi finals at worlds going against each other.
Also 9 of the 10 USA guys made the semi finals. 6 already in the finals and 3 more potentials with Gross, Yianni, Snyder.
It’s almost like the tournament is a little different without Russia.

I really hope Mekhi takes him out this year. Mekhi is a much more likable guy that Cstar.Wasn’t sure where to put this but this is funny. Carter is a bit delusional and trying too hard to be Connor McGregor. In one sentence he is degrading JB’s accomplishments of winning another world title and his brags up his soon to be 5x NCAA championships. Uses air quotes to give JB the GOAT status.
