This has been one of the most exciting Septembers in, well, 5 years for Cards fans. The game tonight to beat the nearly unbeatable was special. Somehow the Cards know how to win when it really matters. With the mets cubs and astros left, they may just pull this off. I like their chances in the play-offs, if they can just get there.

Great game for Berkman. The Braves are now leading the Marlins 5-4 otherwise we would have only been back 2.5 games. But with Atlanta having Philly next we can gain some back I think.
Edit: nevermind walk off homer for the Marlins!!

I like it but the Braves need to start losing. I like are finishing games with Mets/Cubs/ and Houston. Hopefully the braves choke. They do end the season with the Phils

2.5 with 9 games to go. Great stuff. A little October baseball would be wonderful. Might even win a game or two ;-)

Great win guys. Not going to lie though, I would rather have the braves get the wild card because I don't want to face the Diamondbacks.

With that said, I am glad that there are good races coming to the end of the season.

I hate you all. Halladay is one of my numerous aces, and I really could have used more than 7 points from him. Although, I do also have Berkman. But pitching rules fantasy baseball, and Berkman ruined it!

I'm thinking about going down for the last series against the Cubs. Should be fun.

The Cubs dominated both Halladay and Lee right after the All-star Break, so it cant be all that hard can it? :wideeyed:

But in all honesty, the Cards are making it pretty interesting and I'm actually still keeping a watchful eye on baseball because of it. Typically when the Cubs suck, I quit paying attention to baseball the second College Football starts up! I love when teams like this get a huge surge of momentum, it keeps you on the edge of your seat and adds some excitement to the game!

All those blown saves in April and May are looming heavily over the Cards right now. If we had held on in even half of those games, we'd be even or leading the Brewers.

If the Cards can somehow close the game on the Braves and get the wild card, it will cap an impressive September run and it won't matter how many games they threw away earlier in the year. The Cards are now proving that they are capable of playing good baseball against the best teams, so it's incredibly frustrating to have handed so many games and series to the Cubs, Astros, and Pirates throughout the year.

Since 2007 the NL Central Division has only managed to win one playoff game. The common thread for the last 4 years for NL Central teams is mediocre baseball. Best to start praying to be matched up against the representative from the West as it's probably the best shot.

I have nothing to add, since the all-might rebecacy put cards fans only!

Nevermind, the official *** weren't there..

So I'll post anyways.
