Cardinal Fans 2009 outlook

Tell us about your 2009 Season outlooks, I cannot figure this team out, they sign noone and they are depending on carpenter toooooooo much to be in his prestine form from back a few years. I believe it wasa 2007(?)

Not bashing here just curious on your outlook

Ugh...so dissappointed in our lack of offseason moves...looking at probably 3rd or 4th in the division

i actually think the Cards bullpen will be pretty good, although relying on young guys and rooks is a scary proposition.
I agree that relying on Carp for anything is ridiculous. And how do they let Kennedy go? Glaus is not a 100% yet, and they're relying on a few rooks in the field too to be regulars. I think Rasmus really is solid, and will learn quickly, but Ludwick probably can't match the same numbers from last year. Will Ankiel put together a full season? Is Lohse going to have another all star season?
I agree with CyclonePower - just too many questions that were left unanswered. But they still have the best player in MLB, and arguably the best coach. They always get more out of their team than the probably should because of LaRussa and Duncan. They'll fight for 2nd in the central.

Who's going to be the closer? I wonder if they will try and trade a OF during ST? Where is Carpenter going to pitch at the rotation or bullpen?
