Can't Wait.

I cannot wait for Matt Thomas, Monte Morris, and the JUCOs to join this program next year. I feel like we are lacking alot of basketball IQ on this team and by watching Thomas/Morris I can tell they already have very high basketball IQ's.

Very disappointed with the Seniors this year (excluding McGee). Lack of leadership and decision making on/off court.
 
Critique quietly, praise loudly. Why can't no Iowa State fan understand this. (Not directing this at you) but ISU fans as a whole

I don't even know you but I agree 100%. I think the only reason we won't have a great season next year is because lack of experience, but I think 2 or 3 years from now we are going to be a very brutal team.

I love Clyburns athletic ability but my God he makes stupid plays. Lucious can be unstoppable and then put up random 3's. Babb's defense I will definitely miss and McGee's energy will be missed but the other seniors can gooooo
 
Let's all rip on Lucious and Clyburn for not having mistake free nights, then treat them like gods them when they carry the team. All of you reactionary fairweathers can just GTFO. These guys are just as much Cyclones as we are, and we should treat them as such. The internet makes people feel so emboldened, jesus.
 
After this game, Fred needs to get some better big men here. I hate to be "that guy", but ISU needs an improvement on Percy. I would be surprised if Amardi turns out to be anything more than an athletic big.

So you want a half full arena like Texas?
 
Next year is probably going to be a re-building year. Hopefully 2014-15 will be a big year with experience guards to go along with Niang. I am affraid though if we don't recruit a good/true post player to go with those guys, it's going to be a lot of wasted talent, as we'll still struggle on the road and be a bubble team.

Going to the games and cheering for the team != calling out seniors everytime they have a bad night. Calling out seniors and saying they have terrible basketball IQ's and will be outplayed by incoming freshman is just low brow, and being a bad fan. It has to be said.

I agree. Our record is one game off what it was this time last year. There are still opportunities to make our case; take our lumps now and move on.
 
I can't wait for some of these guys to leave ISU. They've given a lot of time and energy, but if you just want to jack up threes and not play defense then you shouldn't be playing. Clyburn is so soft I can't stand it. I really don't have much criticism for KL, he plays hard and he had 11 assist to 3 turnovers. Thats very good. Clyburn makes a lot of dumb mistakes and falls asleep on defense. People get so "wowed" by him because he throws down a dunk once in awhile. He gets the majority of his points at the free throw line, he's really not that special
