The thread on the XFL got me thinking about how much I enjoy watching CFL games. I love the style of play and the college-like atmosphere inside the stadium. Their season is perfect, May-November, so it doesn't completely conflict with the NFL.

I've always wondered why more ISU players don't head north. I'm not sure what they pay so that could be a big contributing factor. Quick roster research from the past season brought only two former Cyclones (Breion Creer and Cleyton Lang) on rosters. Two more do pop up in my search, Jared Brackens and non other than Joel Lanning.

CFL teams have a limit on how many "imports" they can have. Laing is originally from Canada, so he doesn't count against that.

For the non-baseball fans, CFL certainly fills the gap between college hoops and college football.
