Canada vs USA Highlights and Melvin interview

To be honest, would not of guessed that Canada would be 5-0 compared to the US team at 3-2. Cool to see Ejim contributing and having fun, all while improving his game.

Can't believe I set my alarm and watched the game at 4 am, but I did. Ejim was his usual hustle, run the floor, hit the boards, set the screens, etc. He'd kill me cuz of how he responded to the reporter that said it (earlier this year) , but...kinda the "glue" guy really. Doing the little things. I will say Canada's big guys hurt the U.S. , wish we had one like that. And Heslip was impressive to me. Wonder if Pierre Jackson just was so much of the offense last yr. for Baylor, and their trees inside, that he never got it going. He'll be tough this year, imo. Kudos to Ejim for making the team.

HOW DID WE LOOSE TO CANADA IN ANYTHING?!?!?! I could see loosing to them in a poutine eating contest but that is about it...

I don't mind losing to Canada as long as an ISU guy is on the team!

Our non-Coach K led international basketball efforts have left a lot to be desired over the past decade plus, given the talent the US has compared to everywhere else. Seems like he's the magic formula for our NBA guys in the Olympics though.

Be careful what you say about Ejim and his team winning. I tweeted saying Canada beat the US. That Ejim had 8 and 7 and Aaron White didn't score. I then started receiving a bunch of tweets from Iowa fans saying I was a communist and I should move to Siberia. That I need to "love it or leave." My tweet even made some Hawkeye fans blog. What's wrong with me rooting for Ejim? It's not like I said anything bad about the USA because obviously I have nothing against it. Lol I think they were just bitter that I said White had 0 points.m

This US team isn't chock full of talent.

I can say that this is truly the first time I am okay with the US losing just because it was Ejim and Aaron White playing each other.
