Wow, that trade would set the Cubs back for years. They would have to give every decent member of their farm system up. Who would be included in this trade, Hill, Pie, Vitto, Colvin, Marshall, Gallagher, Cedeno. Baltimore wanted Gallagher, Marshall and Cedeno for Roberts. It would take a lot of pieces of the Cubs farm system to make this trade.

I would rather trade murton, cedano, and maybe a prospect for khalil greene. Then move theriot to 2b and have derosa as a super-sub.

Even if I would take him, he doesn't have a spot in the Cubs outfield with Fukudome in the mix. Unless Fukudome could play center, because Soriano sure can't.
