I think we absolutely must have this win. Iowa is going to be one of the 'easier' teams we play this year, and I don't mean that as a put down to Iowa, more as a compliment to our competition in general.
Can it happen? If you asked me would ISU beat Iowa 9-6 in Kinnick two years ago I would laugh in your face. I guess that's why they play the game?... I think this is all entirely up to Mangino and Burnham. If they bring in killer game plans and more importantly implement them well we have a chance.

After seeing how Iowa has performed the first two weeks, yes they are one of the easiest teams we will play this year.
The B1G is a complete joke. So overrated.
Now... I'm certainly not predicting a win Saturday at all, but that has nothing to do with the fact that this game will be one of our best chances at a win this year. Toledo and KU will likely be better chances at a W, but not by a whole lot.
Really... I think out of all the games in Kinnick since 2000, 2012 was the only one where I felt ISU would win. I was surprised ISU didn't win by more (and they should have)
Game plan and coaching up the players to stay focused is 100% right on. If we do this, we not only have a chance, we will win. Iowa State 24 Iowa 21.
Because of the score or because we won? Might be the only year where the line for that game was even while at Kinnick.
well the other guys went after the low hanging fruit in your last paragraph but I'd like to know just how exactly you think the Big 10 is overrated? Do you know what overrated means? It's weak, everyone knows it's weak, and they're rated as being weak. That's not overrated.
I actually feel much better about this game than I did before the season started. Iowa's lines are good but not as dominating as I thought they would be. We played 2 very good teams and made a lot of improvement from week to week.

How are they over rated? Everyone knows that they are the worse conference of the Big 5, they only have 3 of their 14 teams ranked in the top 25. Wisky and MSU are good teams, the jury is still out on tOSU - but they are probably a top 25 team after they get their QB some reps
Yet not a single one of them in the Top 25 is undefeated, all sporting 1-1 records. Overvalued may be more appropriate, hence the asinine decision from the NC double Joke to immediately reinstate Pedo State to full scholly's and bowl eligiblity.
I had zero confidence in Jantz, also I did not think we would go into Kinnick and win. The score was crazy, but very normal if you're considering the aforementioned turnover machine.
