Can Ejim not dunk?

Why doesn't Melvin Ejim dunk the backetball. I don't know how many times he's been wide open and can go up and dunk it but he rolls it over the rim or lays it off the glass. I don't know how many times he's missed. I wish he'd just go up with authority and dunk it.

He's at that part of his freshman year where he's hit the wall. He'll work through it and have a better February.

At which point it's likely that Godfrey hits the wall. Or at least a real possibility.

I haven't been able to watch many games - is he missing layups or getting blocked or something? It's only worth 2 points regardless of how you put the ball in the hoop.

He's dunked plenty of times this year. If last night was the first game you've seen, I feel sorry for you. You've missed some good backetball.

Ejim can certainly dunk. I'm sure in February he'll come back strong and play some good basketball.

I don't blame the OP for making this post because at times, Ejim does seem awfully soft around the basket. I think that again, it all comes down to him playing out of position. It was a big deal in the non-con. Now, he is going up against guys who are bigger and stronger than him for the first time in his life. I'm not surprise that he's a bit hesitant down low. He'll be fine. Ejim is a smart kid who is physically gifted. I'm not worried about him at all.

His freshman year is reminding me a bit of Haluska, who also fell off after a strong start. Both showed signs of serious talent though.
