CMC stated we have 11 guys he considers Big XII ready. Depth chart from 24/7 consisted of 9 (Simmons had 2 spots). First 7 obviously are the 7 that started at least a game last year. Then Hufford and Treiber. So who are the other two? Hudson seems likely as well. Any clue who might be #11?

I think I read where they really like Tyler Miller, but I don’t know if he is ready to push for playing time.

I really only listen to him about what players are standing out everything else is coach speech. All he was saying is I think I know who the starters are but we will see how camp turns. Not a lot of insight really

He was specifically excepting the “young guys” until he sees them the next couple of weeks. So that leaves #11 to be redshirt junior Zach Ross (6’2” 310), who was in the same class as Downing and Ramos, but blew out his knee as a senior.

He was supposed to finally be healthy last year, but apparently something else went wrong.

I think he means we're going to have a formation next year where we have 11 linemen on the field at once. One long line of guys, all on the line of scrimmage. Then one shifts into the backfield and takes the snap and runs for a short gain.

You have be unbelievably patient and listening very intently to catch any mini-nuggets he drops.

Gun or under center?

I mean there’s a difference between Big12 players, and Big12 starters. I think we have at least 7 Big12 starters, and that’s not saying they are all first team all Big12. But I think we have at least 7 OL who could at least start at some of our opponents teams this year.

I want to see this happen…but with tight ends.

Howard Brown can be the guy who takes the snap

I can think of 10, not 11: Downing, Foster, Hudson, Hufford, Newell, Ramos, Remsberg, Schweiger, Simmons, Trieber.

Does he belong in the "11 who could be starters?"
I realize I was in a hurry, but I thought I was pretty clear that that was what I was answering.

Since in his answer CMC excluded the young guys (the five redshirt freshmen) because he wants to see more of them the next couple of weeks, there’s really no one else but Ross.
