I am heading out to Arizona for spring training. Anybody have any tips. I am staying in the Glendale area.

There is no need to get tickets in advance is there? (I'm not going to any Cubs games)

I made a week long tour through the cactus league once (2007), it was great. Cheap tickets, up close to players, gorgeous weather. There is a Margaritaville and Gordon Biersch in Glendale, have fun.

just got back from Phoenix...........the weather is certainly much better than here!

No tips, just don't get rerouted last minute since their airport setup is odd. There is nothing fun about switching terminals and going through airport security twice in the same afternoon.

Enjoy the weather!

I've gone the past 5 years. Tickets are usually available, but I buy early to get seats in the shade.

The ballparks aren't as cheap as they used to be, but they are very nice and have a great feel. The Giants game had the most roudy drunks, but otherwise every game I've seen has been chill.

I like the Angels park, but parking can take some time getting out of after the game. The other stadiums have ample parking and every stadium has friendly fans.

You'll have a blast! Cactus League is absolutely my favorite baseball. I've met hall of famers while getting a tenderloin, former players at the bar, team owners....just a cool experience

Thanks. I cannot wait. We are only going to weekday games so hopefully the crowds are not as big
