Its too bad we got off to a bad start when it comes to our basketball rivalry this week. I was hoping for some good spirited competition and good banter but its hasn't gone that way has it. I haven't liked alot of the things posted on social media from Clone fans.
BYU did nothing wrong on the flagrant foul. The refs got that one right so there shouldn't be any questioning that or blaming BYU. BYU played a clean game the whole time and just played hard to get the win. You shouldn't feel bad at all either. Its difficult to play in Provo and BYU is a top 10 team in net ratings. We are dominant this year and I expect a top seed in the dance.
I like the Cyclones and have been excited to play your team for a long time since BYU made the decision to join the Big 12. I don't think its too late to turn things around with our relationship and it will just take some effort. Our teams play again in a couple of months. It's important to tone down the rhetoric.
