This is embarassing! I am a huge baseball fan, but would NOT pay to see a major league game today. Minor league baseball is fun, inexpensive and more (I think) under control. Salaries at ALL levels of professionals sports are ridiculous.

Not to be the capitalist in the group, but he is getting paid exactly what the people paying his salary think he is worth, to them! Since none of it is directly paid from your check book, why should it matter? The people who are paying his salary think he is worth the money and they are happy!

Team ownership worships the ground this guy walks on for all the things he has fixed for them over the years.
