Bucket List Golf Courses

Got to play Medina a couple years ago. That was great.

Pebble Beach
Saint Andrews
TPC Sawgrass

top 3 for me

I'll back up one step and say that I'd like to be good enough by the time I die - to make playing any of those courses a practical thing to do.

As it is, I'd simply love to GO to Augusta, much less playing there. St Andrews would be another, purely from the history standpoint.

Augusta is the main private one. I will play Pebble, Pinehurst, Bethpage, Whistling Straits sometime in the next 10 years. Played at Doral a couple months ago. Played Wolf Creek in Mesquite. That course should be on everyones bucket list. Condition wise it is like any other, but how they built the course is amazing.

Augusta
St. Andrews
Carnoustie
Pebble
Rich Harvest Farms
Bethpage Black

Those are a few. If I named them all we would be here all day.

I will be playing Whistling STraights at some point this summer. I will tell you if it's worth it.

I got a chance to walk parts of the Old Course a few years ago and it was incredible. Didn't get to play, but wouldn't have wanted to that day...winds were blowing at least 50mph.

If you ever get a chance to play the Plantation course at Kapalua I would highly recommend it. I can get around the course pretty well and that place chewed me up and spit me out. My bag was certainly lighter from all of the balls I lost on the course that day.

I have played TPC SG, it should be no where near anyone's top 10 list, other than the chance to say you played 17.

I have been fortunate enough to play many top domestic courses, Pebble one of them. It's worth it, maybe more fun just to go see. Augusta, Carnoustie, St. Andrews, and Teeth OTD are on my list now.

Who had the video of Padraig Harrington on that mountain in Africa? The Par 4, 2000 yarder (or whatever).

I'd like to take a 5 gallon bucket of balls and see if I can get just one in the same zip code as the green.

Where is this?

Same with Doral. The Harvester is in way better shape than the courses there. And I played it the week after the PGA was there, so they had it in condition.

I hope you pick a very calm day as far as the wind goes. Hitting it 500 yards offline there in the wind probably wouldn't be too difficult. :biglaugh:

Even in a hurricane, I'm humble (lousy) enough to admit that the wind isn't a deciding factor in my game :nah:
