Broncos making lots of moves in free agency...

just today they signed Brian Dawkins who will be huge help on defense. Also they have signed LB Andra Davis who had 90 tackles for the Browns last year, DT Darrell Reid who was with the Colts and safety Renaldo Hill who had 77 tackles and 3 INT's with the Dolphins.

On the offensive side they have added WR's Jabar Gaffney (Patriots) and David Anderson (Texans) to add a little depth a pretty solid recieving corps. Also they added 2 RB's in Correll Buckhalter who was solid as Westbrook's backup in Philadelphia and JJ Arrington who put up some okay numbers as backup to Hightower and Edgerrin James in Arizona.

As a Broncos fan you have to like adding a couple safeties and a good LB because the defense was pretty horrible last year, and even more offensive weapons cant hurt!

David Anderson isn't quite a done deal yet. I think the Texans said they can match the Broncos offer. I am fine with that I dont want him.
 
even with these two running backs getting signed i think torain has the ability to be the best.... his injury issues really suck though haha.

yeah. Anderson is restricted so the Texans can match the deal the Broncos offered. I doubt they will though because its a 3 year deal for like 6 million(?)... dont know that the texans really want him at that price. not sure why the Broncos want him that bad, but more depth cant hurt.

really need to get a stud d-lineman in the draft.... i hope BJ Raji is there for the Broncos
 
Yea definetly need a d tackle. I dont think he will drop down to the 12 spot. I am hoping for a linebacker.
 
maybe malaluga? or a DE/OLB in Orakpo or Maybin? because Nolan is going to run a 3-4 so we need a beast like Orakpo as a Demarcus Ware type player
 
Now the Broncos are shopping to trade Cutler!! According to ESPN, and have refused to allow his agent to help in searching for a team that Jay would like to go to..
Very interesting idea to get rid of your starting QB, when you don't have a great back up waiting.
Definitely making changes to the Broncos!!
 
Yea i have no idea what is going on there. There are all kinds of different reports going saying McD isnt shopping Culter. I hope he stays if he leaves I may become a Chiefs fan again.

It figures being my luck with Denver Jersey's. I got a Terrell Davis one he got hurt, then a Portis one traded then I bought a Cutler think a young franchise QB isn't going anywhere. cue Carl Lewis UH OH, Cutler's decision making did **** me off as he threw way to many picks, but the the guy is a talent and McDaniels is a ****ing idiot. Way to go Moron!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we may not have a QB while San Diego has rivers and K.C. got Cassel.
 
who the **** would want to replace Cutler with Cassell!!! Cassell was a system QB in New England and will suck *** in KC..... god damn. **** my life if Patrick Ramsey is the QB for the Broncos, and thats only if the resign the dude.
 
This is crazy, I've been a Bronco fan since they wore vertical strips socks....:skeptical:

Dumbest move was to remove Mike Shanahan, they should of just relieved him of some of the GM duties. Now they bring in the New England guy McDaniel (unproven HC), and he wants his guy Cassel. Cassel is a average QB in a great system at NE.

Culter will now be traded the damage has been done, he will never play another down for the Broncos, and he had a chance to be a Great QB for them....jeeze....:sad:
 
Ah hell.

Cutler is currently my keeper in my fantasy league. I figured the coaching/new system would affect his play a little....but now this? Crap

wasn't the problem with Shanahan is that he didn't want to give up his GM duties? he can certainly evaluate talent on offense, but lately his defensive choices have sucked. He had a great situation with his offense. Let go of the ego Mike and let someone else get you some players on the other side.
 
i've read more reports that other teams contacted the broncos about the trade then vice versa. not sure what or who to believe. i have a hard time thinking that they would try and trade him for cassel straight up.

basically, it was supposedly a 3 team deal, cutler to tampa, cassel to denver, and a pick from tampa to new england. my guess is if that was the real proposed deal by the broncos, then new england and tampa bay for sure would have accepted it.

lets face it, tampa would be getting a proven qb for a draft pick, denver would get cassel and be happy(if indeed they did initiate the trade), and new england would have got a 1st/2nd round pick for jsut cassel.

considering they gave up cassel AND vrabel for the 34th pick in the draft, i have a hard time believing any of the story.

the guy reporting it (in the story i read last night) doesn't even have a source
 
i really doubt that they would deal cutler, firing mike was a big enough mistake but to get rid of your quarterback they have been looking for since elway would be a whole different story.
 
A horrible week for the Broncos. 5 years for Dawkins? Still no starting running back? Letting Brandon Marshall out of his house?
There is no quarterback in the NFL with more potential than Jay Cutler, what the **** is McDaniels doing?
